Summer Camp Programs
Steve’s Camp’s engaging summer programs provide a variety of enrichment and activity for preteen and teen campers. They get the opportunity to find out what they’re made of. Inside and out.
A Camper’s Typical Day
From warm-up at 7:45 a.m. to lights out at 10 p.m., campers remain engaged in a variety of fun challenges, experiential learning, and recharging activities. This includes camp games, farm and culinary education, community relations, communal meal times, camp keeping, and even movie nights.

Join us for FUTURES, a seven-session virtual series designed to help high schoolers feel confident and empowered as they plan their next steps after graduation. Rooted in justice and community, this program builds a supportive space where students can explore options, ask questions, and set clear goals for their futures.
Across the series, students will:
Learn the ins and outs of the college admissions process
Explore different types of colleges to find the right fit
Build strong academic and leadership profiles
Practice writing powerful essays and applications
Understand financial aid, FAFSA, and scholarships
Make informed, confident choices about their next chapter
By the end of the program, participants will be equipped with the tools, knowledge, and support to take charge of their postsecondary journey.

- 12/20/25: Introduction to College Planning & Exploring College Options
- Understand the admissions process, set goals, and create a timeline for success. Discover different types of colleges and identify factors that matter most in choosing the right fit.
- 01/17/26: Standardized Testing
Learn about the SAT/ACT, test-taking strategies, and which exams best fit your goals. - 02/21/26: Building a Strong Academic Profile
Strengthen your grades, activities, and leadership skills to stand out as an applicant. - 03/21/26: Crafting a Compelling College Application
Develop strong essays, gather recommendations, and build an application that tells your story. - 04/18/26: Financial Aid and Scholarships
Gain confidence in navigating FAFSA, scholarships, and other ways to pay for college.
Compare offers, weigh pros and cons, and prepare for the transition into college life. -
5 Sessions | Select Saturdays | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Empower your camper with essential leadership skills through our virtual LEADERS Certification Course. This six-session series helps middle schoolers build confidence, emotional intelligence, and teamwork through the lens of our camp values — Real Courage, Real Joy, Real Community, Real Caring, Real Safety, and Real Commitment.
Each session combines discussion, reflection, and interactive activities designed to help campers grow as leaders both at camp and beyond. Upon completion, participants will receive a Leadership Certificate recognizing their growth and dedication to self and community.

12/20/25: REAL Courage & REAL Community- Goal: Understand how to build connections, work together, and make camp stronger as a team.
- Goal: Learn to take risks, share your ideas, and step into leadership even when it feels challenging.
01/17/26: REAL Caring
- Goal: Practice empathy, kindness, and support to lead in a way that lifts others up.
02/21/26: REAL Safety
- Goal: Explore how leaders create safe, welcoming spaces where everyone can thrive.
03/21/26: REAL Joy
- Goal: Discover how joy and positivity can inspire others and keep communities strong.
04/18/26: REAL Commitment
- Goal: Learn the importance of responsibility, follow-through, and staying dedicated as a leader.

At Empowerment Camp, middle schoolers spend 12 days participating in all our camp classics:

- Explore our 100-acre farm through hiking, biking, and horseback riding
- Participate in cooking classes and nature workshops
- Experience the high ropes course and zipline
- Garden organic produce and work with farm animals
- Practice yoga, meditation, and mindfulness
- And more!
Session-specific eligibilities
Preference for attending this session will be given to applicants who:
- Identify as female, nonbinary, or agender
- Are a middle school student at a New York City public school
- Contribute to your community, family, or school
